In this video I explain how to create a face by carefully building up layers of tone using a variety of pencils.
The proportion of the face is demonstrated because this is a vital element in creating the drawing. I show how eyes and the nose can be suggested. It is more pleasing to suggest when you draw a face rather than outline the drawing, because line can make a drawing look flat.
