In this art tutorial I’ll teach you how to draw a frog / toad starting from very simple shapes. My step by step approach is ideal for children and beginners and those looking to improve their drawing skills. You will learn how, by using oval and cylinder shapes, you can draw the basic shape of the frog.
From here, I show how to add an outline that reflects the lumpy slimy skin of the frog. Adding shading in a variety of tones completes the drawing before finishing the shading with a piece of graphite. The graphite is used to create a background which in turn converts the edges into outlines.
