In this art tutorial I explain watercolour painting basics for those new to watercolour painting. I talk about basic materials, the paper, paints and brushes and how to use them. I also demonstrate the two basic techniques of watercolour namely; wet on wet and wet on dry. By combining these methods you can paint a range of different techniques and effects.
I explain how to combine the two methods; wet on wet and wet on dry, to create some wonderful watercolour effects. Problems such as ‘pooling’ are covered and ways in which can be avoided. The art tutorial is aimed at complete beginners and those new to watercolour painting.
