Starting with just three lines, light medium and dark tones, we can draw the framework for our landscape drawing. Drawing a landscape is much easier using this drawing technique. My stage by stage explanation shows clearly the different stages of the process of drawing a landscape. This tutorial will explain how to create depth in your drawing by using tone. Simply, each element of the landscape is a different tone, the front is dark, the background light. The same basic techniques can be applied to still life and any type of drawing requiring depth.
