This art tutorial is Part 6 of my Start drawing series and shows you how to draw a pot simply. This art tutorial explains how, by using your wrist as a compass, you can create the sides of the pot symmetrically. I also explain about how light from one direction creates shadows and highlights and by suggesting the highlights using tone, the pot or vase will appear to be three dimensional. Using these simple drawing techniques will make the drawing of your pot much more realistic. You can of course draw a pot in lots of different ways, but using this technique will help. However, if you do want to try something a little different try drawing a pot as outlined in this video.
