This is part 2 of my art tutorial on How to Paint a Landscape. This time I am focusing on the use of scale to create depth in the landscape painting. This combined with the fact that colours get lighter as they go into the background creates distance in the landscape. I explain how this can achieved using the acrylic colours outlined in the tutorial.
I shall show you how, by simply making trees smaller and lighter as they disappear into the landscape it will give a sense of depth. I am using college quality acrylic paint. This art tutorial is aimed at beginners, children, primary teachers that teach children and anyone who is starting out on this wonderful journey of painting.
